About the Book

Life was uncomplicated for Bharat growing up in Malabar Hills under watchful eyes of Balveer and tender love of his foster parents Tanaji and Rakhma. He played with his friends and was the king of jungle between his school and martial arts. His vacations in Kadamba with his Guru Thatha were always exciting thanks to Indira and her friends. But then life took a big turn when the moment of his purpose arrived. Cornell and his East India Company were conquering his homeland and it seemed that no one could stop them. It was natural for this adolescent boy to be impressed by that mighty conqueror, just like many others around him who just gave up and surrendered. But then there were few like Balveer and Kanhoji who stood up and challenged East India Company. When Bharat realized that he was the hope for thousands, he rose up and answered the call of his destiny.

This book brings to life a fictitious Kingdom of Kadamba. The story embeds facets of life in India around 1785 AD.
